Crew onboard P&O Cruises Aurora alerted the acoastgusrd after sighting a small dinghy in difficulty.
According to Bournemouth Daily Echo, the crew on the ship, currently anchored off the coast of Bournemouth, spotted the dinghy two miles out at sea at 10:30pm, with no navigational lights and making no progress.
Southbourne Coastguard and Mudeford lifeboat attended the scene and recovered the boat. Those on the dinghy were checked over for any health concerns and advice was given.
