Spirit of Adventure Floats Out Of Shipyard

Spirit of Adventure, the second new cruise ship for Saga, has successfully been floated out of the covered building dock at the Meyer Werft shipyard.

During the float out, the funnel was lifted onto the ship by crane and mounted. The ship was then moved to the outfitting pier where further testing will be carried out over the next few days and weeks.

The ship is expected to begin its Ems river conveyance in August. The ship will then dock in Emden for final outfitting and sea trials.

Originally due to launch in August, construction delays due to Covid-19, now mean Saga is expected to take delivery of Spirit of Adventure in October, ready to begin sailing from November.
