Royal Caribbean has informed some guests booked on Anthem of the Seas in 2021 that their cruise has been cancelled, but what they are offering instead is a BIG bonus for passengers.
Guests booked to sail on Anthem of the Seas on 15th August 2021 to France & Spain and 22nd August 2021 to Northern Europe from Southampton were informed that their cruise had been cancelled and Royal Caribbean would no longer be offering their original itinerary.
Instead of the two 7-night cruises, Royal Caribbean has decided to create a more immersive experience for those looking at booking a cruise in 2021, and has introduced a new 14-night Mediterranean Beaches & Cities itinerary.
The new sailing due to depart on 15th August 2021 is set to visit Malaga, Cartagena, Tarragona, Villefranche, La Spezia, Civitavecchia, Lisbon & Vigo.
The original 7-night itinerary on 15th August 2021 was La Rochelle, Bilbao, La Coruna & Le Havre; followed by Rotterdam, Zeebrugge & Bilbao from Southampton on 22nd August 2021.
Due to the itinerary change, Royal Caribbean is offering guests the chance to swap to the new sailing at no extra charge, meaning they will now enjoy an extra 7 nights of cruising for free!
While guests would be crazy to miss out on this great bonus, understandably the new itinerary won’t be suitable for all guests. Royal Caribbean is also offering the ability to transfer to 29th August 2021 which will offer an identical itinerary as the original 15 August departure, or alternatively the chance to experience the Norwegian Fjords on 5 September.
All guests affected who rebook onto any of the new departures will remain in their original stateroom category at the same price they paid. If the new cruise fare works out cheaper than what they originally paid, they will receive a refund of the difference.
Alternatively, if all 3 options are unsuitable, guests can cancel their booking completely and receive a cash refund, or a Future Cruise Credit, although no additional compensation will be given.
